I had the honor of giving a conference talk at the prestigious annual meeting of the Organization of Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) 2024 in Seoul, South Korea. My presentation “How to Translate AI Prototypes into Functional Healthcare Applications – Ethical and Social Aspects” delved into the crucial intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare.
During the presentation, I shared initial findings from the CAIDX project regarding the planning of validation and implementation steps in various phases of the AI tool development process. One of the highlights of the talk was the discussion of the ethical and social implications of incorporating AI technologies in healthcare settings, which we derived from the interviews with physicians and medicine ethicists in the TESIComP project.
The engaging discussions and valuable insights shared during the poster sessions sparked critical reflections on the future of AI in healthcare and the importance of addressing ethical considerations in technology implementation.
Overall, my conference presentations were an enlightening experience that not only showcased the potential of AI in transforming healthcare but also emphasized the significance of ethical frameworks and societal values in shaping the future of healthcare technology.
